In the floor maintenance industry, when we talk about crystallization, we mean the incorporation of a tough all over layer of micro-crystals. We do that by means of chemical reaction, and for this purpose we use specially built machinery, togheter with chemical liquids and steel wool pads. The final result is a thin, continuous and very hard layer of microcristals that coat the floor. It’s a process that doesn’t use wax, that’s why the final result is not slippery, non marking and with a perfect gloss. The crystallization manages to increase the durability of the flooring material by 2 or 3 degrees on the Mohs scale. This makes the surface more resistant to abrasion and gives it a clear and transparent shine, giving it the appearance of crystal.

A few lines about the origin of our company

Founded in the early sixties by the late Mr. Jordi Riera in Barcelona, Spain, soon the company was oriented to develop very specialized chemicals and machines for crystallization and maintenance of the floors. In the early nineties we had extended the uses of our machines, making them more versatile: the diamond grinding was becoming a standard. We are developing now new planetary heads to make them more useful for the floor maintenance industry.
